The PowerShot S20 is equipped with a 3.34 megapixel 1/1.8" Charge-Coupled Device (CCD). Captured images feature a high resolution of up to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. The dimensions of PowerShot S20 are 105.4 (W) X 69.4 (H) X 33.8 (D) mm. Body weight is approximately 270 grams. These are exactly the same as the PowerShot S10. The full flat metal body is champagne gold colored.The PowerShot S20 is equipped with a high-quality 2X optical zoom lens of F2.9 (W) to F4.0 (T) with a focal length of 6.5 to 13 mm (32-64mm equivalent to 35-mm film format), capable of shooting a wide range of images from scenery to snapshots.Similar to PowerShot S10 an advanced Digital Signal Processing IC that is capable of both high-speed processing and high image quality is built in PowerShot S20.The combination of this IC with buffer memory achieves a shutter interval of approximately 2.2 seconds (when using the optical viewfinder), even for high-resolution images.
