The Digi-Slave RF-50 Slave Ring Flash is perfect for digital macro photography. It has slave circuitry built in thus no connection to the camera is required, but can also connect directly to camera's sync terminal via PC cord (some cameras might need an optional/proprietary connector from the manufacturer of the camera, in-order to do a direct connection via sync cord). The unit simply threads on to the front of the camera. Perfect for dental or catalog photography when used with a close-up lens set. Unlike some other ring flashes, which are not made for digital cameras, and will wash out the image, due to the intensity of those other ring flashes, including other make of RF-50 are not designed for such close up photography. This ring flash will not wash out the image, by having special circuitry built in to work with the many digital cameras.
