The FireWire CameraMate uniquely blends the high speed connectivity and convenience of FireWire technology with a CompactFlash slot to provide an easy to use, high performance, method of transferring data to and from a multitude of digital devices. Using this new high-speed reader/writer, professional digital photojournalists can now transfer high-resolution images without the need for tethering the camera to a workstation. This speeds up and simplifies image transfer and frees the camera to continue taking pictures. With a 1GB Microdrive™ installed, an entire day's worth of high resolution photographs can be transferred to a host computer in a matter of a few minutes.
