"I researched a purchase for a digital camera earlier this year. I found
several locations cheaper than d-store and inquired about the cheaper ones. Read all I could on the net including the messages on the Digital Camera resource page. I telephoned one other store before calling d-store. After completing all the research I bought from d-store, spent about $1500. Bruce took my order from his home on a Sunday and had my order to me mid-week following. The PC card adapter I purchased to read smart media quit working. Bruce sent me overnight a (better) replacement adapter at no cost to me. The new (microtech) card would not work. I called d-store and while I was on the phone, Bruce Called Louie (Microtech mgr) who connected me with microtechs tech support. Tech Support had me remove the LAN PC card from the other socket and re-boot. The new adapter worked fine. It turns out the LAN PC card I am using must be removed before using the smart media adapter. No big deal. My only association with d-store is the Camera and a number of accessories I purchased at the same time. This will be the first store I will call if I need anything related to digital camera's. I am very ctitcal of who I do business with, but you will not go wrong with making your purchase at d-store."

"I've been taking photographs for almost 30 years. The burden and costs associated with emulsion based film finally got to me. I couldn't afford to take film to a good lab and the C40 processors never seemed able to "get it right", or at least the way I wanted pictures printed.  I'd heard about digital cameras in the early 90's when what would now be considered an El Cheap-o Saturday nite special cost 2500 bucks. It was a dream, but one that captured my attention.  Finally last summer I had the horrible experience of losing several "precious" rolls of film to a terrible hack processor and I began in earnest to cruise the web looking for the straight dope on the current crop of digital cameras.
By October, 1999 I'd come across d-store's site and began talking in earnest with some of their excellent sales associates.
After much discussion and guidance, both from the d-store folk as well as a very knowledgeable pro photo buddy who always used Nikon products, I narrowed the search and decided on the CoolPix 950. d-store's deal was superlative and by the time we got to the nitty gritty, it was time
to travel for Christmas.
d-store took my phone order 3 days before Christmas and had the 950 with Quest batteries & charger, a Microtech 45mb card and an accessory kit delivered by UPS to where my wife and I were visiting for the Holidays the 24th of December.
I was duly impressed, I must confess. Purchasing a fairly expensive item in this new way and having the scenario play out exactly as promised was just wonderful.
I shot up a mess of files of my grand daughter, her folks, my wife, the squirrels raiding the bird feeder and just about anything else I could get the lens on. The real joy for me came when I down loaded the files to my computer and started cropping, adjusting color balance, enhancing contrast, editing out the mother-in-law, etc. It was amazing and I was hooked! And no more damn negatives or prints from some crappy drugstore lab to gather dust in a closet. I have since bought a Nikon wide angle lens from d-store, the latest Quest charger, many NiMH batteries and a host of other digital photo peripherals. Each time I've called them I've been treated courteously and thanked profusely for my business.
Last Friday I called d-store early in the day for advice on a technical issue and found myself speaking with the company founder, Bruce. We had a great talk and he turned me onto a new product he thought might be right for me, which I'm sure I'll buy.
To have the owner/founder pick up the phone and devote a half hour in a consultative service/sales discussion just blew my mind. He was really delightful, interested in me and what I enjoy photographing, and knows the market cold.
